The Graduate

Who's getting the short end of the stick here: Mrs. Robinson or Ben Braddock?
Ben is just out of college, back at home, trying to figure out what to do with his
life. Dad just wants action. Mom doesn't seem to want much of anything. Mrs.
Robinson -- as the incantation of all things upper-middle class seduces young
Ben into spending a lot of time rolling around awkwardly under her sheets.
Their relationship comes to an abrupt end when Ben begins pursuing Mrs.
Robinson's daughter, Elaine.

When "The Graduate" is a hilarious movie but it’s a different type of
comedy that I’ve ever saw. It was funny how Ben acted rather than them trying
to be funny like the “comedys” we see now days. Seeing how uncomfortable he was
around women and how he responded to the was why it was funny.

I thought that “The Graduate was a great movie. I thought it was funny how
nervous he seemed around any women. He was very uncomfortable around Mrs.
Robinson and didn’t seem to be as uncomfortable around Elaine. I think that is
because he tried to ignore her since Mrs. Robinson told him not to go out with
Elaine. Except when he was driving with her he hit the curb and was racing
everywhere. I also like how he took her out to a “stripper bar” and she just
wanted to go on a nice date with him.

Hopefully,
the irony wasn't lost on him.
